Dear Missionary of the Gospel of Life:

I pray this letter finds you embracing Christ’s unfailing and generous love! Allow me to give you a few reminders, and then you will see a message from Fr. Frank.

I want you to know that I am praying for you. In times like these, it is critical that we work our spirituality and stay centered and assured of God’s never failing love. I know that it is a struggle at times to maintain our disciplines, but the fruit of them -- greater intimacy with Jesus and empowerment to live and declare the Gospel of Life -- is more than worth the effort. I am praying for you and know that God is able to do infinitely more than we can imagine.

Regarding the "working" of our disciplines and spirituality, I know that Father is asking us to use and promote his excellent teaching on Pro-life Spirituality and Activism. Frank Pavone has trained pro-life leaders across the Country. Now you can benefit from his seminars while in the comfort of your own home! This 9 CD set will renew and perfect your pro-life work like never before. Topics include: Spirituality of Pro-Life Work, Public Education, and Prayer and Repentance. Click here to order at the Priests for Life online store.

Please join in the Novena to St. Gerard Majella Novena, October 8-16, the Patron Saint of Pregnant Mothers and of Childbirth at www.prayercampaign.org.

We invite you to say the prayer during these days, and to let us know of any prayer intentions you have for couples who are seeking to conceive a child, or for women having difficult pregnancies, for those who have lost children, or who have special prayer intentions for their living children.

The number of professed MEV is growing! . Fran O'Connell made her Promises in NY on Respect Life Sunday, 4 Oct; Gail Campbell will make promises in PA on 11 Oct; and on 18 Oct Tony Kull, Kristine Strickler, and Sandy Slater will make their Promises (& Veronica Kull restates Promises).

We will have several of our MEV from GA, AL and FL making Promises at EWTN on 29 Oct, and almost 20 MEV will Make their Promises in TN on 21 November!

I ask that you keep all of these Missionaries in your prayers and that you support Promise Ceremonies in your area as possible.

Every Missionary should make your Permanent Profession as soon as possible following your Year of Formation, and understand the process so as to assist others. Clarity regarding the forms and process may be found at www.priestsforlife.org/missionary/09-08-10eletter.htm.

Please review the links at the close of this letter and especially the MEV Facebook connections available for communication and Formation.

Our prayers and work unite us and our spirituality and disciplines enable us to deepen our love and service to the Author of Life!

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Thanks for your commitment to live as a Missionary of the Gospel of Life.

More bishops are getting directly involved in our Association; I just received word from another bishop that he will be receiving the promises of some of the Missionaries who are in training. We will announce that shortly. It is always encouraging to have the active leadership of our shepherds!

Please take note of the various action items that I am placing in the bi-weekly email blast of my column. Action related to the health care debate as well as special upcoming national pro-life projects – not to mention our own Freedom Rides – are all crucial ways that we can advance the cause.

And if you want even more immediate updates from me on breaking news and activities I am undertaking, be sure to follow me on Twitter at www.Twitter.com/frfrankpavone.

You are in my daily prayers and Masses!

Fr. Frank
