for a special video message from Jim Pinto, MEV
Dear Missionary of the Gospel of Life:
May the holy and intimate relationship Christ desires for
you be realized.
I want to continue pressing home
to you and to all of our Missionaries the necessity to
make daily prayer and Scripture meditation an intentional
part of our daily lives.
I want to stress
intentionality and tenaciousness in our commitment to
Christ in intimate prayer and the hearing of His voice
through Holy Scripture. There are so many callings and
voices, both good, bad and superficial, that demand our
time and energy. We must be intentional and tenacious in
keeping our commitment to the Lord in prayer and listening
to His voice through the Scriptures.
Please be
sure to view the video that goes with this email. I hope
that the Holy Spirit will use my prayer to bless and
support you in your relationship with God, His mission and
those with whom you have a close relationship.
Remember, Prayer is to the Christian what breathing is to
all humanity. Our union with the Divine, His children and
mission through intimate prayer cannot be overvalued.
Prayer is the heartbeat and breath of all we do with and
for Him. You may find it helpful to review the MEV prayer
teaching at, www.priestsforlife.org/missionary/prayer.htm.
This is a special week for us here in Greater
Birmingham (my home) as I assist Fr. Frank and Janet
Morana in their ministry at EWTN, Irondale, Alabama.
Father and Janet will be taping the upcoming Defending
Life Series this week, and Father will be celebrating
daily Mass at 8am ET on Tuesday, October 27, Wednesday,
October 28 and Friday, October 30. The Masses repeat
each day at 12noon, 7pm and 12 midnight (all times
Eastern)
On Thursday October 29, at 6:45 p.m.
Central Time, Fr. Pavone will conduct the MEV Promise
Ceremony in the EWTN Chapel.
I ask for your
special prayer for the precious Missionaries from three
states who will make their Life Time Promises to God
before Fr. Frank.
Please review the PFL Media
Schedule at www.priestsforlife.org/media/schedule.htm and
give your prayerful support for the remainder of this
week’s media outreach.
I also ask that you review
regularly our “Recent Updates” on our MEV Homepage. In
particular rejoice with those who have submitted precious
images from their recent promise ceremonies: Three make
life-time promises in Exton, PA - October 18, 2009 and
Fran O'Connell makes her life-time promises - October 9,
2009.
In these pressing times, let us not allow
our intimacy with Jesus to be “squeezed out” of our daily
lives and priorities.
May we be intentional and
tenacious in keeping our time with Him!
Please also
be blessed by Fr. Frank’s message below!
In the
assurance of His Divine Love,
Jim Pinto, M.E.V.

Dear Missionaries of the Gospel of
Life,
I’m so grateful to Jim Pinto for his
continued leadership in this MEV movement.
I
wanted to let you know that I visited with Mother Angelica
on Sunday for about 20 minutes. She is confined to her
room at this point, and basically stays in bed all the
time. However, she was smiling, laughing, and very
responsive as I shared with her about the progress of
Priests for Life and Missionaries of the Gospel of Life.
The whole Church owes a lot to her, but in
particular, we at Missionaries of the Gospel of Life owe a
lot to her for letting EWTN be such a platform for this
ministry. In a private conversation I had with Mother in
1994, she told me I should do a series on abortion, and
everything about our ministry began to really grow rapidly
after that.
So please pray for Mother Angelica,
pray for the continued growth of EWTN, and please tune in
the rest of this week to the EWTN Masses, at which I will
be preaching the homily.
See you soon!
Fr.
Frank Pavone
