Dear Missionary of the Gospel of Life,
I pray this letter finds you in earnest preparation for
the Advent of Jesus Christ the Lord!
The Gospel this
past Sunday gives us our exhortation for personal formation
and a clear word to proclaim in the midst of a culture of
death: "…Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths.
Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall
be made low. The winding roads shall be made straight, and the
rough ways made smooth, and all the flesh shall see the
salvation of God.” (Luke 3.4b-6)
We prepare ourselves
and all humanity for the advent of the Face of God in the
Nativity, the continual advent of Christ in the face of every
human being, and the second advent of Christ as He comes to
judge the living and the dead.
“We are looking for
your coming, Lord. We seek to make a level, straight and
smooth way in the totality of our being to receive your
coming. We give our lives to make a level, straight and
smooth way in Your Church and World for your advent. Amen.”
Let us take advantage of some of the opportunities given
us to prepare for His advent:
-Join with Pro-life
intercessors in the Advent Novena,

-Honor and revere the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of
Life and model for all disciples.
Let us make the most of the time we have
to prepare ourselves and everyone we encounter, for the advent
Jesus Christ!

Finally, Fr. Frank Pavone and I have a
special request. Mark your calendars for Friday, January
22, 2010 to attend the 16th Annual National
Conference for the Pre-Born and their Mothers and
Fathers from 8:00-10:15am in the Congressional
Auditorium, US Capitol, Washington, DC. This premier pro-life
event has taken place on Capitol Hill for the past 15 years.
This annual gathering of pro-life and pro-family clergy and
lay advocates - and anyone who supports them - is a time when
God's Word is declared without restriction inside the most
powerful building in this country. For more information see

We are in need of volunteers for this
event. Volunteering would include helping to seat people,
handing out programs and similar tasks. If you can help,

christa@priestsforlife.org. Clergy of all denomination
are invited to join us on the platform at this event and lead
in a prayer, a Scripture reading or other portion of the
program. Be sure to invite your Priests and Deacons to
participate in this way.
