Dear Missionary of the Gospel of Life,
Greetings in the Lord of Life!
As you well know, we are now at a time of the year when extra attention is given to the abortion issue – and there are so many things we can be part of as Missionaries of the Gospel of Life! Let me bring your attention to just a few…
I hope you plan to participate in pro-life events this month in commemoration of Roe vs. Wade either on a local or national level.
I would be happy to see you at either the March for Life in Washington, DC or the Walk for Life in San Francisco and at any of the activities that will surround these two great events. Go to www.priestsforlife.org/marchforlife to see what my schedule will be later this month January in Washington and San Francisco.
An integral part of both events is the Silent No More Awareness Campaign gatherings that will take place, where post-abortive men and women give their testimonies. Please make plans to join us for these gatherings to hear their testimonies in person! In San Francisco, this happens right at the conclusion of the Walk. In DC, it happens at the steps of the Supreme Court as soon as the March reaches that point. Again, find out more about these gatherings at www.priestsforlife.org/marchforlife.
Anyone who regrets their abortion or lost fatherhood and would like to give a testimony or hold a sign at one of the gatherings should go to www.silentnomoreawareness.org to sign up.
In addition, we would like to provide your entire parish with Pro-life prayer cards and You Can Save Someone’s Life Today bulletin inserts, free of charge (with your Pastor’s permission)! This bulletin insert provides several ideas for how anyone can participate in the pro-life movement. The prayer cards, along with a video, are also available for buses going to the March for Life in DC or the Walk for Life in San Francisco. Call us at 1-888-735-3448 x237 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
I know many of you attended The National Memorial for the Pre-Born and their Mothers and Fathers last year and we hope you can make it again this year. On Monday, January 24 this premier pro-life service on Capitol Hill will take place from 8:00-10:15am. I will deliver the homily. We are confirming the exact location in one of our Federal buildings, and that detail will be on www.priestsforlife.org/marchforlife shortly.
Finally, please publicize this prayer service and all of the pro-life activities that will take place this month and invite everyone you know to attend.
