To all members of M.E.V.,

Today is one of the special feast days of our Society, the Feast of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

She personally supported and encouraged the work of Priests for Life, and in my discussions with her in Calcutta, we also conversed about the idea of a community, like the one we have just established. Her life and teachings are, along with Evangelium Vitae, one of the cornerstones of the spirituality of the M.E.V. Society.

If you look up “Mother Teresa” on this website, you’ll find a number of articles and reflections about our interaction with her, and her support of our work.

May this feast today lead us to a deeper reflection on and imitation of her life and spirituality.

What a blessing to hear personally from the Founder of the Missionaries of the Gospel of Life! It helps me to better appreciate the seeds of influence that inspired Father Frank, and the establishment of this Society of Apostolic Life. Let us fulfill his hope for our formation today. 

We are united together in extending the Gospel of Life on earth as in Heaven.
