I had difficulty in long term relationships

I was 19 years old in nursing school and became pregnant. I ended the relationship without letting the father know. I got back together with an old boyfriend and pinned the pregnancy on him. I had no other choice but to abort.

Were you given adequate information and counseling prior to the abortion(s)?

I believe I was given information about the D&C and post- complications. I was given no information regarding the fetal development.

How would you describe your abortion?

Very painful during and after the procedure.

How did your abortion(s) affect you and others?

Promiscuity, drugs and alcohol. I had difficulty in long term relationships or if someone really cared for me. I emotionally became very numb.

To deal with the abortion I attended a six-week post abortion support group which helped tremendously 3 1/2   years ago. I now lead these same groups one known as H.E.A.R.T. workshops.

How do you think your abortion(s) changed your life?

Rom 8:28 - God already knew I would make this decision. Yet he chose to use it in my life so that I could help other women.
