It was an act of revenge
My abortion took place in Jan 1973. The father of the baby, my parent and I were involved in the decision.
I was not given any info or counseling prior to the abortion. I went to Planned Parenthood and they referred me to a doctor who performed abortions.
I went to a hospital and was given a general anesthetic and was out the same day. My father paid cash. It was an act of revenge on the father who would not marry me.
The abortion was physically painful. Today, I experience great guilt over the decision I made in sin.
I have been in counseling. I have attended and co-lead PACE Bible Studies to help others heal.
I believe the abortion affected many relationships -- my parents, my first husband (not the father) etc. It has taught me how to deal the sin and guilt.
