I still grieve terribly -- it has been sixty years

I came to have the abortion because I was unmarried. My intention was to marry my fiancé later on.

I was given no information about the abortion.

The abortion was done by physicians. My fiancé and later husband went along with my decisions.

I kept the abortion a secret and the only person who knew was my fiancé.

To deal with the abortion I prayed to God for mercy. I still grieve terribly -- it has been sixty years.

The abortion made me realize what a terrible thing I did and would give anything if I could change it.
