The staff was very uncaring

I was recently divorced, supporting my son and myself. My baby's father did not want the responsibility of a family and convinced me abortion was the best solution.

I was given only partial truths (about fetal development) and was not told how painful it would be.

The abortion was very hurried -- the clinic had perhaps 30 women gathered for services that morning. The staff was very uncaring, the doctor was rough and unconcerned about my distress.

The abortion left me to live under a cloud of depression for 9 years. I am uncertain how it effected anyone else (we have not spoken of it). I also believe that I have contracted Herpes Simplex from the procedure.

To deal with the abortion I attended PACE.

The abortion has changed my life because it enabled it have a quick fix for an immediate crisis but I will live with regret of my choices forever and never forget who might have been if this choice had not been easily available. I live with herpes attack.
