No mention of a life
How did you come to have the abortion(s) and who was involved?
I found myself pregnant at 17 and 21 and wanted to be married first. My friend and I were involved at the age of 17. My boyfriend and I were involved at the age of 21.
Were you given adequate information and counseling prior to the abortion(s)?
The information I was given was not anything that encouraged me to have it [the baby]. No mention of a life, basically, just mentioned that it was a medical procedure, routine instruction and pills to take after.
How would you describe your abortion(s)?
The abortion was very evasive in nature (Don't worry everything will be fine in the morning, Have a nice day).
How did your abortion(s) affect you and others?
The abortion affected me because it created guilt and a lack of self-worth. It left me with a lack of trust in creating relationships.
Please describe what you have done to deal with your abortion(s), and whether it helped.
After the abortion, I started to accept God's forgiveness and took training for Crisis Pregnancy Center Counselor. I also attended post abortion counseling class.
How do you think your abortion(s) changed your life?
The abortion has changed me because it made me realize my responsibility and slowed down my emotional growth.
