How did you come to have the abortion(s) and who was involved?
The most honest and direct way I know to answer this is to state my "status
quo" at the times of my abortions. First: Unmarried, in college, father not told
till after. Second: Unmarried, father wanted the abortion.
How would you describe your abortion(s)?
Emotionally confusing, draining. Done at Planned Parenthood. First time by
doctor in office. Efficient, calculating, clean. Profitable for everyone
involved but me and my babies.
How did your abortion(s) affect you and others?
I’m 33 and have a lot of life ahead of me I hope, if it is God’s Will. I
believe I’ve walked with the devil. I know hate and pain and depression. I know
what it is to fight suicidal thoughts and tendencies. I know the feeling of life
without goodness and …and happiness and peace and contentment.
Please describe what you have done to deal with your abortion(s), and
whether it helped.
I have joined a women’s group and am working on a Christian based workbook
called PACE. I’ve verbalized my experiences to lots of women which usually helps
and the men, which usually doesn’t seem to help as much. Talked to my minister
and a close uncle.
How do you think your abortion(s) changed your life?
I had my 1st abortion when I was 21 and the 2nd when I
was 27. Same father. I am including this with the hope and expectation of
further healing.
