I aborted and then my marriage failed

I was 20 years old and had not been married very long. My husband was 19 and had a very snotty mother who tried to run our lives. When I became pregnant no one was happy. Everyone told me I needed to have an abortion. My husband told me that he loved me but I had to choose if I loved him. I aborted and then my marriage failed. I divorced him for the choice he said I had to make.

I don’t remember the abortion itself. I was asleep. But going in I was scared and unsure of my safety and everything involved. I took a pill (valium) and had my blood taken and sat in a room with about 15 girls. We didn’t talk a lot.
