It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service.

Big changes for Rachel’s Vineyard Ministries

2004 will indeed be the dawn of new and big changes for Rachel’s Vineyard Ministries. Since the first of the year, we are no longer a division of American Life League. We would like to thank Judie and Paul Brown for their generous support over the past five years. We were blessed to receive a start up grant from the Sanctity of Life Foundation. If you would like to help us continue our work you can make a donation to Rachel’s Vineyard Ministries at 743 Roy Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406. You can also donate online by clicking here.

We are exploring different funding streams to continue in our mission and will keep you updated.

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, For his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness

EWTN’s new six part mini series. "Making Abortion Rare":

Rachel’s Vineyard Ministries announces a new six-part mini-series that focuses on Dr. David Reardon’s book, Making Abortion Rare. It’s built on an understanding of the ways in which abortion hurts women, physically, psychologically, and spiritually. Making Abortion Rare offers a three-pronged strategy for ending abortion through a compassionate and comprehensive program of pastoral, political and educational reform. This carefully considered approach will create a healing environment for those who have been emotionally wounded by abortion, will draw Americans together through their common concern for women, and will enforce proper civil liability for abortion related injuries. With a clear, logical, and humane voice, Drs. Reardon and Burke will provide viewers with a practical strategy for making abortion not simply illegal, but unthinkable.

Here is the schedule for the series. All times are Eastern: Understanding the Keys to

March for Life: An invitation from Fr. Frank Pavone:

May I extend to you a personal invitation to join me for two events in Washington DC on January 22. Before the March for Life, I will lead a memorial service at 9:30am at the Senate Office Buildings and present a new pro-life award. Dr. Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King, Jr. will be present. This is the largest indoor pro-life event on Capitol Hill. Admission is free. (The exact room for the event is still to be announced.)

Then, after the March, I will gather at 5pm in front of the Supreme Court with Jennifer O’Neill and the Silent No More Awareness Campaign. Women hurt by abortion will share their testimonies and hold signs saying, "I Regret My Abortion." Singer Melba Moore will grace both events with her music.

Please join me. You can get more information about both events by visiting

Also, please note that Theresa and Kevin Burke will be guests of EWTN’s Marcus Grodi during a live telecast from the March for Life in Washington D.C., on January 22, 2004 at 11:30

Crossing Over Ministries

Congratulations to Norma McCorvey - no longer Jane Roe! Norma McCorvey shares with us the following wonderful news: The name of Roe No More is NO MORE! The new name will be Crossing Over Ministry.

Norma shares: "This is what the Lord God gave me just two or three days from a Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat - it went something like this: ‘Norma, you are Crossing over. Come!’ Yet another skin I take off to better the world and my mind, I can finally let go and take my last breath from this name!"

Praise the Living God!

Stockwell birth announcement

Congratulations to Rachel’s Vineyard volunteers Marvin and Sarah Stockwell, on the birth of Genevieve Ruth. Marvin writes: "All of you fellow laborers in the Vineyard can share in our joy and know that it is the very work you all are doing that helped make little Genevieve possible. Sarah and I attended a Rachel’s Vineyard retreat in January 2000 and experienced God’s love, mercy and forgiveness. That embrace, that healing, for Sarah, for us and for our marriage meant everything. It started us down a road that lead to sweet, beautiful Genevieve, and for that we give thanks to God and to all of you. May God bless you!"

When you pass through the water, I will be with you; in the rivers you shall not drown.

When you walk through fire, you shall not be burned; the flames shall not consume you.

For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your savior.
