General Intercessions for the Feast of the Holy Family, Cycle B

Celebrant: The Holy Family inspires us to cultivate holiness within our families.  Let us ask our Lord to hear and answer our prayers and petitions.

Deacon/Lector:

That all families in the Church may be filled with grace as they strive to live the example of love Jesus gave to the world, we pray to the Lord…

That all nations respect the rights of all for the sake of justice, peace and harmony, we pray to the Lord…

That our parish family may know and fulfill our duty and obligation to support our Church and one another, we pray to the Lord…

That Christ, who was presented to His Father in the temple, may deepen our understanding that every human life belongs to God and is sacred to Him, let us pray to the Lord...

That we may open our hearts to Christ and share the joy of his birth with those in our midst, we pray to the Lord…

That all of our deceased parishioners may rest in God’s blessings of happiness and love in heaven, we pray to the Lord…

Celebrant:

Father,
as you hear and answer these prayers,
give us grace to follow the example of the Holy Family.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen
