National Priests' Group Confident that Roe Will Fall
Priests for Life, one of the nation's largest anti-abortion groups,
announced today that as America approaches the completion of 31 years of
Roe vs. Wade this Thursday, most citizens do not accept its policies,
and are learning that it is a dead end.
"The days of Roe are numbered," stated Fr. Frank Pavone, National
Director of Priests for Life and President of the National Pro-life Religious
Council. "Survey after survey shows that very few Americans accept its policy of
abortion-on-demand through all nine months of pregnancy. And as the numbers of
women harmed by abortion continue to grow, our nation learns by the day that
abortion is a dead end."
Priests for Life gives a voice to that message by co-sponsoring the "Silent
No More Awareness Campaign," which will gather at the Supreme Court at 5pm on
January 22 to provide women harmed by abortion to give public testimony.
Moreover, Priests for Life will help ensure that abortion policies are
changed by working to bring more and more pro-life voters to the polls on
Election Day later this year. "If a politician can't respect the life of a
little baby, how is he supposed to respect yours?" Fr. Frank asked.
