New York City- Dr. Harvey Brookman, currently licensed to perform abortions in Pennsylvania, has been charged by the state with practicing without malpractice insurance, giving expired drugs to patients, allowing unlicensed staff to administer drugs, failing to check his patients' age and identity, and performing abortions without a licensed registered nurse present.

Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, commented, "Unfortunately, this is the norm rather than the exception when it comes to abortion clinics nationwide. We know this from our work with former abortionists and their victims. It's time the American people realize that legal abortion does not mean safe abortion."
