Fr. Pavone praises decision of Appeals court
regarding abortion payment
Washington, DC - Fr. Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for
Life, issued the following statement praising a decision made by 9th U.S.
Circuit Court of Appeals in ruling that a military woman who had an abortion
where her unborn child had physical disabilities did not qualify for coverage by
the United States Military.
Said Fr. Pavone, "This is a common sense and morally sound judgment by
the court. Taxpayers should not be required to pay for the killing of the
handicapped. Nor should the courts be asked to contradict the clear language of
a statute."
