Fr. Pavone praises Bishop Olmsted for defense of human life,
Church teachings
New York City- Fr. Frank Pavone, national director of
Priests for Life, issued the following press release today in gratitude to
Bishop Thomas Olmsted of Phoenix, Arizona for prohibiting abortion
supporters such as political leaders from speaking at church sponsored
functions or using church property for any purpose.
Said Fr. Pavone, "Priests for Life thanks Bishop Olmsted for not
allowing the Church to be used by speakers who fail to oppose abortion. This is
about more than defending the integrity of Catholic teaching. It's about
opposing an act of violence that cuts across and transcends all religious
beliefs. I challenge those who don't understand the bishop's actions to go to

babies, and ask whether such violence should ever be tolerated."
