Fr. Pavone issues
challenge to abortion clinics: Tell women the truth
New York City- Fr. Frank Pavone, national director of Priests
for Life, issued the following statement today in response to the proposed
20-foot buffer zone around the Presidential Women’s Center in West Palm Beach,
Florida. The abortion providers have complained that the pro-life
demonstrators make so much noise that it can be heard inside the clinic, causing
additional distress to women in the midst of an abortion.
“There wouldn’t be as much reason for the noise outside the
clinic if those inside were straightforward with women about what an abortion is
and what it does,” said Fr. Pavone. “I challenge those who administer this
abortion facility to describe the procedure clearly to the public, including the
fact that the baby’s heart is beating when the abortion is performed, and that
abortion procedures tear off the arms and legs of these babies.”
Fr. Pavone also encouraged the pro-life demonstrators to
continue their efforts. “As long as this clinic continues slaughtering
babies, I urge pro-life people to increase the intensity of their protest and
the volume of their voices, so that these women can hear the truth before making
the biggest mistake of their lives.”
