Fr. Pavone of Priests for
Life Applauds South Carolina Senate
Washington, DC – Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of
Priests for Life, praised the South Carolina Senate for its passage of the
Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2006 (S1084).
“It is gratifying to see concern for women and children
take priority over politics,” Fr. Pavone pointed out. “Some had feared
that protecting the unborn from violence would lead to banning abortion. But
that’s tantamount to saying, ‘I don’t want to protect these children if it’s
going to lead to protecting others.’”
“I urge the House to likewise pass this common-sense
measure, supported by most citizens of South Carolina and of America,” said Fr.
Pavone.
