Fr. Frank Pavone to Observe Passing of Terri
Schiavo One Year After Her Death;
Available for Comment
Fr. Frank Pavone, a
witness at the bedside of Terri Schiavo in the final hours before her death on
March 31, 2005, will be available for comment as the one-year marking of her
passing approaches.
Twelve months ago,
outside the Pinellas Park hospice where Mrs. Schiavo died, Fr. Pavone bluntly
declared to the assembled media that her death was “murder.” He added
subsequently that Terri’s death was not “peaceful” or “gentle,” but that she
suffered “an agony unlike anything I have ever seen.”
Fr. Pavone will
visit privately with Terri's family on the day of the anniversary. Around the
same time, he plans to make his own personal visit to Terri's grave and bless
it.
Fr. Pavone is the
National Director of Priests for Life and the President of the National Pro-Life
Religious Council.
