FR. PAVONE APPLAUDS ALASKA COMMITTEE’S FETAL HOMICIDE
VOTE
“When a criminal assaults two victims, he
should be charged with two crimes,” states Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director
of Priests for Life. “Alaska legislators should be applauded for voting to
close the legal loophole that allows a pregnant woman’s attacker to commit two
crimes for the price of one.”
Fr. Pavone’s remarks are in response to the
Alaska House Finance Committee’s approval of a measure to create a separate
crime for the assault or killing of an unborn child.
