Fr. Pavone on New Abortion Study: Women Want the
Truth
Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests
for Life, commented today on a new survey published in the Journal of Medical
Ethics showing that women considering abortion want to know all the possible
complications before undergoing the procedure. The study found that 95
percent of women want to be informed of not just physical risks, but mental and
emotional ones as well.
“These findings are consistent with the pastoral
experience of our priests across the nation,” Fr. Pavone said. “Of course,
abortionists don’t want inconvenient truths standing in the way of their
profits. It’s ironic that some who claim to support choice don’t support
the right of women to know what they’re choosing.”
