Fr. Pavone on Ruling Re: Ohio's RU-486 Law
Washington, DC -- Fr. Frank Pavone, National
Director of Priests for Life, today commented on the ruling of federal Judge
Susan Dlott striking down an Ohio law that required doctors to follow Federal
Drug Administration guidelines when administering the abortion drug, RU-486.
Judge Dlott held that the law, which also forbade the use of RU-486 after the
seventh week of pregnancy, was too vague to be enforceable.
“If the judge doesn’t like vagueness, I know some
dead people who can make it quite clear why RU-486 is a problem,” said Fr.
Pavone.
