Fr. Pavone on Alabama Abortion Clinic: Morally and
Now Financially Bankrupt
Amarillo, TX – Fr. Frank Pavone, National
Director of Priests for Life, today commented on the bankruptcy filing of the
Birmingham abortion clinic, Summit Medical Center. The abortion facility
had been closed since July after wrongfully giving a woman with a late term
pregnancy and high blood pressure the abortion drug RU-486, resulting in the
delivery of a six-pound, four-ounce stillborn baby.
“We hope that the financial bankruptcy of this
abortion clinic reminds the community of the moral bankruptcy of every abortion
clinic,” stated Fr. Pavone. “A business that makes its money destroying
innocent human life should not be a part of any community.”
