Opponents of Fetal Pain Bill Deny Compassion to the
Unborn Says National Priests Leader
Amarillo,
TX –
Opponents of SB 196, the fetal pain bill pending in the Missouri Senate, would
deny compassion to unborn babies about to be aborted said Fr. Frank Pavone,
National Director of Priests for Life.
“The bill would simply offer women the option of
having their unborn children of 20 weeks or older anesthetized before an
abortion,” said Fr. Pavone. “To oppose this bill simply because some
scientists aren’t sure whether babies feel pain at 20 weeks or 30 weeks is to
exhibit a total lack of concern for tiny humans who are about to have their
bodies dismembered. If you’re not sure whether a baby feels pain, you err
on the side of compassion.”
