Bill to Require One-Day Waiting Period for Abortion a Logical Step Says National Priests Leader

Amarillo, TX – Passage by the Florida House Healthcare Council of a bill to require a 24-hour waiting period before an abortion was praised today by Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life.

“There are no second chances after an abortion,” said Fr. Pavone, “no way to undo what’s been done.  The finality and gravity of abortion makes any waiting period, even one as short as 24 hours, a logical, prudent step to take.  I pray that the full House will adopt this measure if only to save one woman from the grief and torment caused by abortion profiteers.”
