National Priest Leader Stands with Former "Racketeer"
Washington, DC – Fr. Frank Pavone, National
Director of Priests for Life, commented today on the legal victory of Joseph
Scheidler, National Director of the Pro-Life Action League. Earlier this
week, the 21-year-old case of NOW vs. Scheidler came to a definitive end as
Judge David Coar entered final judgment in that case, formally clearing Mr.
Scheidler of racketeering charges.
“Abortion advocates have again lost,” Fr. Pavone
declared, “in their efforts to stop Joe and all those who stand with him from
working peacefully to stop the killing of children in the womb. I have
been proud to be associated with Joe from my very first days as National
Director of Priests for Life. I have been with him in the Supreme Court as
well as in the streets, and we have followed this case at every step, providing
all the assistance we could.”
“Now, a new chapter begins,” Fr. Pavone
continued. “It is time for everyone who knows that abortion is murder to
act like it. We’ve talked long enough. It’s time to take to the
streets, awaken the conscience of the nation, and intervene peacefully to save
the lives of the thousands who are led to slaughter each day in the abortion
mills of our cities.”
