Fr. Pavone Calls Governor’s
Veto the “Ostrich Approach” to Public Policy
Amarillo, TX – Fr. Frank Pavone, National
Director of Priests for Life, today reacted to Gov. Kathleen Sebelius’s veto of
a bill requiring abortionists to report the medical reasons why late term
abortions were being performed.
“Apparently the Governor would just rather not
know why women take the extreme step of aborting their late-term babies or even
whether her supporters in the abortion industry comply with the law,” said Fr.
Pavone. “Sticking one’s head in the sand might be OK for ostriches, but it
doesn’t make for good public policy.”
