6th World Encounter of Families in Mexico
City January 14-18, 2009

Priests for Life - Gospel of Life Ministries is pleased to be collaborating again with the Pontifical Council for the Family as it hosts the 6th World Encounter of Families in Mexico City January 14-18, 2009. The theme for the upcoming conference is "The family, teacher of human and Christian values". The council hosts these international events every three years (last meeting was held in Valencia, Spain in 2006). The Council is expecting over 15,000 participants including 35 cardinals and numerous bishops from around the world. Priests for Life has been honored with an invitation to provide a testimonial for the event and to share our prolife ministry with people of faith from around the world. We will have an exhibit table in the conference hall and provide Spanish prolife materials. We will also be meeting and strategizing with international leaders of the prolife/family movement. Our delegation will be headed up by Fr. Victor Salomon, Priest Associate, Fr James Heyd and others.

 The event will unfold over a three day period at different locations in Mexico City:

Jan. 14/16 - Theological - Pastoral Congress at Expo Bancomer, Santa Fe
Jan. 17 - A Festive Meeting with Testimonies, Basilica of Guadalupe
Jan. 18 - Concluding Celebration of the Eucharist, Basilica of Guadalupe
