Prominent Priest Warns of “Supreme” Battle

Washington, DC – Upon hearing news reports of Justice David Souter’s retirement from the US Supreme Court this June, Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, commented, “This will unleash a Supreme battle. Judicial activism in our nation has given us a policy of child slaughter by abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy. Now the left will scream about ‘no litmus tests’ on abortion, but the fact is that all of us observe litmus tests at all times. If a racist or terrorist is unfit for the highest court in the land, why would a supporter of child-killing be any more fit? This is the question we will pose again and again during the process of replacing Justice Souter.”

Fr. Pavone added, “We wish Justice Souter well and we urge all our fellow citizens to pray daily for all our Supreme Court Justices.”
