Prominent Priest Comments on Abortion Poll

Staten Island, NY – Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, commented today on the Gallup Poll just released about the views of the American public on abortion.

“In recent years, we at Priests for Life have been saying that the pro-life movement is winning, and that one of the signs is the shift of opinion polls in our direction. This new Gallup poll reinforces that fact, showing the highest levels Gallup has ever measured of people indicating they are “pro-life” and indicating that all abortion should be illegal,” Fr. Pavone said.

“There are many varied reasons for the shift, not the least of which is that as people realize how extreme President Obama’s position is on this issue, they are prompted to think more clearly about their own,” Fr. Pavone said.
