FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: JERRY HORN

Who: Janet Morana and Georgette Forney, Co-Founders of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign (SNMAC), the world’s largest network of women and men harmed by abortion, are now available for press interviews to discuss President-Elect Barack Obama and his impact on federal abortion policies.

Janet Morana - “President-Elect Obama said on the campaign trail that he doesn’t want his daughters ‘punished with a baby.’ He clearly doesn’t understand what women endure after their babies have been terminated. We’re urging him to listen to post-abortive women, the voices of experience.”

Georgette Forney - “Women want the truth. We don’t want Mr. Obama’s daughters or anyone else punished with years of regret because the lies of the abortion industry drove public policy.”

When: SNMAC leaders Morana and Forney are available now for comments and interviews, prior to next week’s inauguration, Roe v.Wade anniversary, and national pro-life marches. They are currently organizing coast-to-coast events where women and men will publicly share their personal abortion anguish and the spiritual healing and forgiveness they’ve experienced. The events will take place at the March for Life in Washington, DC, January 22, and the Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco, January 24.

Since the launching of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign in 2003, 2,739 women and men have shared their testimonies publicly at over 325 gatherings in 44 states and seven countries where more than 41,000 spectators have heard the truth about abortion’s negative aftereffects. More than 6,100 people are registered to be Silent No More. Raising awareness about the hurtful aftermath of abortion and the help that is available to cope with the pain are two of the Campaign’s goals.

The Silent No More Awareness Campaign is a joint project of Anglicans for Life and Priests for Life. For more information, please visit our website: www.SilentNoMoreAwareness.org
