New season of “Defending Life” on EWTN premieres Oct. 18

STATEN ISLAND, NY – A new season of Priests for Life’s “Defending Life” series will begin Oct. 18 on EWTN.

The show can be seen on EWTN every Thursday at 11 p.m. and every Saturday at 2:30 a.m. It also can be heard on EWTN Radio every Friday at 1 a.m., Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 5 a.m. (All times Eastern). The series will feature Janet Morana, Executive Director of Priests for Life, as co-host, along with Fr. Denis Wilde, OSA, and Fr. Scott Daniels, OP.

As Nov. 6, Election Day, draws near, the first three shows will have political themes. The focus of the first 30-minute episode will be on how voters should evaluate candidates for office. The second show will take a look at how much a president’s pro-life views influence policy. The third will illustrate how every vote counts, particularly in a close election.

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, said, “In elections, it is not the candidate who is right on the issues who necessarily wins, nor even the candidate with whom most people agree. Nor is it the candidate with the most money, nor the one who is ahead in the polls. Rather, the candidate wins who has the higher number of people actually cast their vote.”
