Fr. Pavone: We must act now to protect these babies

Priests for Life

NEW YORK -- Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, issued the following statement regarding today’s vote on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (H.R. 36) in the House of Representatives.

“It is very fitting that on the two-year anniversary of the conviction of late-term abortionist and murderer Kermit Gosnell , our federal  government is poised to take action to protect babies from a brutal and inhumane death at a point when they can feel pain. Many of Gosnell’s victims were well past 20 weeks. This bill would have protected them.

“We know from our work that some healthy mothers of healthy babies choose abortion after 20 weeks for reasons that have nothing to do with rape, incest or threats to physical health or life. Our ministry recently was asked to try to stop a healthy woman who was 30 weeks pregnant from aborting her healthy baby, but the abortion proceeded because there was no law to stop it.

“We must act now to stop this barbarous practice and protect these babies.”

seriously, you have no business telling ANY woman what to do with their pregnancy. OR forcing your views on euthanasia on anyone but yourselves. If you don't like it, don't personally do these things but give people the dignity to make their own choices.
Considering the damage the Church has done to humanity over hundreds of years, I suggest you clean up your own house first before you demonize people trying to cope with extraordinarily difficult circumstances and situations.
