Priests for Life to Protest Planned Parenthood tomorrow

Priests for Life

2/10/2017

NEW YORK -- While helping to organize and promote the protests nationally, Priests for Life full-time team members will protest Planned Parenthood tomorrow in three states and the District of Columbia.

Protests are planned in more than 200 cities as Congress and President Trump prepare to end taxpayer funding for the nation’s largest abortion business. Planned Parenthood kills more than 320,000 preborn children annually and receives half a billion dollars in taxpayer money as it does so.

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, and Kevin Burke, co-founder of Rachel’s Vineyard, will speak during a protest outside the Warminster Health Center in Warminster, PA. The rally will run from 10 a.m. until noon ET.

Bryan Kemper, Priests for Life’s Youth Outreach director, will speak outside the Dayton Health Center in Ohio. That rally will run from 9:30 to 11 a.m. ET.

Father Denis Wilde, OSA, associate director of Priests for Life, will speak outside Planned Parenthood’s Wilmington Health Center in Delaware. The rally will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m. ET.

Father Stephen Imbarrato is an organizer of a protest march and rally in Washington, D.C., that will begin outside the Supreme Court. Marchers will gather at 9 a.m. ET and will walk 1.4 miles to Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, the abortion giant’s new flagship killing center in the nation’s capital.

Father Pavone explained that there are five main points about Planned Parenthood that the protests are meant to convey.

“Planned Parenthood is about abortion, not healthcare. They in fact do not do many of the services they claim to provide. Furthermore, Planned Parenthood is a corrupt criminal enterprise that has been under investigation by Congress and various states. It is also a racist enterprise, and a political machine that spent $38 million trying to elect Hillary Clinton. The money that will be taken away from Planned Parenthood, moreover, will be redirected to women's health centers that do not kill babies, and that outnumber Planned Parenthood facilities by 20 to 1. You can find out about these centers at www.GetYourCare.org."

Father Pavone invited all those planning to march – and all those who can’t get to a protest tomorrow – to visit www.PrayPP.com to find prayers and inspiration.

"At many of the protests," Fr. Pavone pointed out, "there will be women and men of our Silent No More Awareness Campaign sharing how abortion devastated them and how the pro-life movement -- particularly our Rachel's Vineyard ministry -- helped them. The voices of these testimonies are indisputable."
