TITUSVILLE, FL  -- Priests for Life will sponsor the prayer breakfast at this year’s National Right to Life Convention in Overland Park, Kansas, next month.

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life and President of the National Pro-Life Religious Council, described the annual event that draws pro-life leaders and activists from all over the country as “one of the most important and informative pro-life conferences of the year.”

Fr. Frank has been attending and speaking at this conference for more than two decades. Other members of the Priests for Life team, including Executive Director Janet Morana, Civil Rights for the Unborn Director Alveda King, and Youth Outreach Director Bryan Kemper have likewise attended and presented at various times. Bryan will again address the youth track this year.

The convention will run from June 28-30. The Friday morning prayer breakfast, which always draws a capacity crowd, is an integral and important part of the conference. Kansas City Archbishop Joseph Naumann, the newly elected Chairman of the U.S. Bishops Committee on Pro-life Activities, will deliver the keynote address, and Father Pavone will give the invocation and address attendees.

“We are thrilled Priests for Life is sponsoring the prayer breakfast,” said Jackie Ragan, convention director for National Right to Life. “We couldn’t be happier.”

Father Pavone also will lead workshops at the convention that will focus on the November elections, including everything churches and clergy can do to make sure pro-life candidates are elected.

“I always look forward to this conference,” he said, “and I’m happy Priests for Life has the opportunity to sponsor the prayer breakfast. Both prayer and action have never been more important for this cause, which is closer to victory than ever before. And at this convention, we will emphasize that theme.”
