WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Priests for Life and its affiliate ministries will lead and participate in several major events during this year’s March for Life in Washington, D.C. The events include:

Jan. 17, 8 a.m. – National Prayer and Protest Rally outside Planned Parenthood

Jan. 17, 2 p.m. – Official March for Life Youth Rally

Jan. 18, 8:30 a.m. - National Prayer Service at Constitution Hall

Jan. 18, Noon – March for Life Rally

Jan. 18, 2 p.m. - Silent No More Awareness Campaign Gathering

“This year’s March for Life comes at a time when we are dealing with a big mistake many voters made in this past election, namely, to elect child-killers to a majority in the House of Representatives,” said Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life.  “Now is the time to increase the pressure on these Democrat public servants who don’t know the difference between serving the public and killing the public.”

On Thursday, Jan. 17, a prayerful protest will take place outside D.C.’s flagship Planned Parenthood, located at 1225 4th Street NE. The rally will take place from 8 to 11 a.m. Father Pavone, along with Priests for Life’s youth outreach director, Bryan Kemper, will lead the event and will welcome other national pro-life leaders who will stand with them.

Mr. Kemper will return as the emcee of this year’s official March for Life Youth Rally, which will take place from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 17 at the Renaissance Washington Downtown Hotel at 999 Ninth St. NW. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m.

On Friday, Jan. 18, the day of the March itself, the 25nd annual National Memorial for the Pre-born (www.NationalPrayerService.com) will take place at Constitution Hall at 1776 D St. NW. The interdenominational event is the premiere prayer service during the March for Life.  EWTN’s Father Mitch Pacwa, SJ, and Sandra Merritt (who worked undercover to expose Planned Parenthood’s sale of baby parts) will speak and both will be honored with the 2019 Recognition Award. Evangelist Alveda King, who works full time with Priests for Life, will also speak. Singer Joyce Im Bartholomew will perform.

Ms. King will then also speak during the March for Life Rally, which will begin at noon on Jan. 18 on the National Mall between Madison Drive and Jefferson Drive.

The Silent No More gathering (www.SilentNoMore.com) will begin in front of the Supreme Court building immediately following the March for Life. Janet Morana and Georgette Forney, the co-founders of the Campaign, along with Fr. Pavone, who serves as the Campaign’s Pastoral Director, will lead the gathering. Dozens of women and men who lost children to abortion will give their testimonies, along with other family members.

Details of all these events can be found online at www.priestsforlife.org/MarchForLife.
