FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Amarillo, TX – Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today said that Governor Butch Otter’s signature of a parental consent for abortion bill will both restore parents’ rights and reduce the number of teen abortions.

“Governor Otter’s approval of this bill is an appropriate response to the abortion industry’s willingness to sell abortions to teenagers behind their parents’ backs,” said Fr. Pavone.  “Parental involvement laws are right and just because mothers and fathers should know when their minor daughters are having major surgery.  Such laws also reduce the number of teen abortions.  The enemies of life are also enemies of parental rights.  Every state should follow Idaho’s example.”
