Please Don’t Hurt Me Mommy
By Andrew Byers, Indiana
Please don’t hurt me mommy.
I am helpless, too.
But when I get older,
I’ll be there for you.
I can move my fingers.
I can move my toes.
I’m a real person,
even if you don’t show.
I know you feel sorrow.
I know you feel pain.
But just wait ‘til you see my smile,
You have so much to gain.
I’m sorry you are troubled.
I’m sorry for your strife.
But I’ll love you anyway,
If you just give me life.
Please don’t hurt me mommy.
I don’t know what to do.
Someone is trying to kill me,
And I think that someone is you.
