Early Voting in ARKANSAS
In person - Any qualified voter may vote early 7 days before a
presidential preference primary, a general election primary, or a general
election run-off; he may vote early 15 days before a general election. In
any election, the last day for early voting is the Monday before the election.
In person early voting is available at the voter's County Clerk's Office (see
www.sos.arkansas.gov/elections/elections_pdfs/county_clerks.pdf (PDF format)
for a list of these offices). In some counties, additional early voting sites
are provided; local newspapers publish the locations of these sites.
By mail - Any qualified voter may vote my mail if he will be absent from
his polling site on Election Day or he will be unable to go to his polling site
due to illness or disability. An application for an absentee ballot may be
requested from the County Clerk in the voter's county of residence (see
www.sos.arkansas.gov/elections/elections_pdfs/county_clerks.pdf (PDF format)
for a list of these offices). An application for absentee voting is due by mail
seven days before the election. An application may be brought to the County
Clerk's office in person no later than close of business on the day before the
election.
