Early voting
In person – If a voter is a registered
absentee voter (see below), he may bring his absentee ballot to the office
of an elections official and vote there. Early in-person voting –
October 8 to November 5. Early in-person voting is offered in some
California counties, but not all. Voters may take their
absentee/vote-by-mail ballots to a polling place before Election Day if they
live in a county that offers this option. They should check with the
Secretary of State (http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/find-polling-place.htm)
or their county government to see if early in-person voting is offered in
their county.
By mail – Any voter may vote early by
mail, no excuse required. Requests for absentee/vote-by-mail ballots must be
received no later than May 29 for the Presidential and State Primary;
October 30 for the General Election. Absentee ballots must be received by
