Voting by mail – All registered Colorado voters will receive their ballot in the mail. Ballots will be mailed to voters no sooner than 22 days before the election. If a voter wishes to vote in person, he must bring his mail-in ballot to a voting location during the 15-day period between October 20 and Election Day, November 4. A list of voting locations will be available at

Early voting –

In person – Any voter may vote early in person, no excuse necessary. Early in-person voting is available during the ten days before the Primary Election and during the 15 days before the General Election.

By mail – Any voter may vote early by mail, no excuse necessary. Applications for absentee/vote-by-mail ballots must be received by mail no later than seven days before Election Day. [Note: This option is for people who can’t or don’t want to wait to receive their ballot by mail, which will be sent out no later than 22 days before the election.]

Applications for absentee/vote-by-mail ballots may also be obtained in person no later than the Friday before Election Day. Absentee ballots must be returned by Election Day.
