Early Voting in CONNECTICUT

Early voting in person - It is not permitted in this state to vote in person before Election Day.

By mail - A qualified voter may vote by absentee ballot if he will not be present in his city or town of residence on Election Day, he is serving in the armed forces, he is physically ill or disabled, or his religion prevents him from secular activity on election day. The application for absentee voting by mail is available from the Town Clerk of the voter's municipality or online at www.sots.ct.gov/sots/LIB/sots/ElectionServices/ElectForms/electforms/aabeng.pdf  (PDF format). Those submitting valid applications will be mailed ballots prior to the election. A mailed ballot must be received by the Town Clerk no later than Election Day; a ballot returned in person by the voter must be received by the day before Election Day.
