Early Voting in ILLINOIS
In person - Any qualified voter may vote early in person in the
Primary Election between January 14 and January 31, 2008. The in-person
early voting period for the General Election is October 14 through October 30.
Early voting polling places and times are listed by local jurisdiction at
www.elections.il.gov/VotingInformation/EarlyVotingLocations.aspx.
By mail - A qualified voter may vote early by mail if he will be absent
from his county of residence on Election Day, has a physical incapacity, will be
unable to vote due to his religious tenets, will be serving in the military, or
otherwise meets an approved reason for not being able to vote in person on
Election Day. An application for an absentee ballot may be requested by mail no
more than 40 days nor less than 5 days prior to the election. A list of these
