Early voting

In person – You may vote early in person only if you do not qualify for a vote-by-mail absentee ballot (see “By mail” below) and you will be out of the county on Election Day or you are a pregnant woman in her third trimester or you are a precinct worker assigned to work outside of your precinct or you or your spouse has surgery scheduled for Election Day.

For those who qualify, early in person voting is available between May 4 and May 21 for the Primary; between October 19 and November 5 for the General Election.

By mail – You may vote early by mail only if you cannot get to the polls due to advanced age, disability, or medical emergency; you are in the armed services or a dependent of someone in the armed services; you temporarily live outside the state; you are a student attending school outside the county of your residence; or you work outside your county of residence and cannot get to the polls on Election Day or during early in person voting.

Those who qualify for early voting by mail may request an absentee ballot no later than May 15 for the Primary; October 30 for the General Election. Absentee ballots must be returned by Election Day.
