Early Voting in MISSISSIPPI
In person - A registered voter may vote early in person if he will be
outside his county of residence on Election Day, is disabled or ill, over 65
years of age, in the military, or for other specified reasons. Eligible voters
may vote early in person at the Circuit Clerk's office no later than noon, March
8 for the Primary and November 1 for the General Election. For more information
on early in person voting, the voter should contact his local Voter Registrar's
office, a list of which is available at
www.sos.state.ms.us/elections/VoterRegistrars.asp.
By mail - A registered voter may vote early by mail if he will be
outside his county of residence on Election Day, is disabled or ill, over 65
years of age, in the military, or for other specified reasons. An application to
vote by mail may be obtained from the voter's local Voter Registrar's office.
Contact information for Voter Registrars is available at
www.sos.state.ms.us/elections/VoterRegistrars.asp. Absentee ballots
must be received by the local Circuit Clerk's office by the day before the
election.
