Early Voting In MISSOURI
In person - A registered voter may vote early in person if he will not
be able to go to his polling place on Election Day because he will be absent
from his voting jurisdiction, he is ill or disabled or is the primary caregiver
for someone who is ill or disabled, his religious beliefs or practices prevent
him from going to the polls that day, or he will be employed as an election
authority at a location other than his own polling place. The eligible voter may
vote at the office of his local election official (see
www.sos.mo.gov/elections/countyclerks.asp?id=all for a directory of election
officials) from six weeks before the election until the day before the election.
By mail - A registered voter may vote early by mail if he will not be
able to go to his polling place on Election Day because he will be absent from
his voting jurisdiction, he is ill or disabled or is the primary caregiver for
someone who is ill or disabled, his religious beliefs or practices prevent him
from going to the polls, he will be employed as an election authority at a
location other than his own polling place, or he is incarcerated but still
eligible to vote. The voter must request an absentee ballot by mail from his
local election authority no later than the Wednesday before Election Day.
An application for an absentee ballot may be filled out and downloaded at
www.sos.mo.gov/forms/elections/absentee.pdf (PDF format). A directory
of local election officials listed by county is available at
