Early Voting in NORTH CAROLINA
In person - Any registered voter may vote early in person with "One
Stop Early Voting." Early voting is conducted between 19 days and 3 days before
the election at times and locations determined by the local county Boards of
Elections. To contact a local Board of Elections for information on early
voting sites, see the directory at
http://www.sboe.state.nc.us/content.aspx?id=13.
By mail - Any registered voter may vote early by mail. The voter may
request by mail, phone, or e-mail an application for an absentee ballot from his
local Board of Elections until Tuesday before the election. The voter may also
write the Board of Elections directly for an absentee ballot. This direct
request must contain the voter's name, address, date of birth, signature, and
address where he wants the ballot sent if different from his residence address.
