Connecticut will elect a Governor and a U.S. Senator in 2018.

Primary Election voter registration deadline – August 9, 2018 if registering by mail.  First-time voters and voters who have moved may register on Election Day at special Election Day Registration offices.

Primary Election date – August 14, 2018

General Election voter registration deadline – October 30, 2018 if registering by mail.  First-time voters and voters who have moved may register on Election Day at special Election Day Registration offices.

General Election date – November 6, 2018

Early voting –

            In person –  Early in-person voting is not permitted.

            By mail –        

A voter may vote early by mail if he is physically ill or disabled; will be out of town on Election Day; is serving in the military; is working at a  polling place other than his own on Election Day; or is unable to vote on  Election Day due to religious observance.

Applications for absentee ballots may be made 21 days before the Primary Election and 31 days before the General Election.  Absentee ballots must be received by election officials by Election Day.
